..when I got started and I’ve had to prioritize, making sure I was as prepared as I could be. What is your favorite way to spend a day in NYC? I’ve got my golden retriever with me. I love having him around, his name is Elvis. & I love spending time with him, going to dog parks.
Do you think the transition from the West Coast back to the East Coast might influence writing? Definitely. The environment you write in definitely can change and sort of affect the style of writing you do. I’ve been so busy preparing for the show and getting settled, I can’t write up as much as I’d like to. When is your next album coming out? We haven’t started yet, but there are definitely plans to..
start soon. We do want to continue to record and write for fans; it’s been a while since we released a record. It will be sooner rather than later, probably later this year or early next year. Why are you so grounded? I think by surrounding myself with the right people.
It’s important to be with people who inspire you to be the best you can be. I enjoy what I do. I’m blessed to be able to perform for audiences who want to hear me. It’s an amazing thing. I don’t take it for granted at all.
