Taylor Swift Joni Mitchell Role 'Confirmed'

Taylor Swift will play Canadian singer/ songwriter Joni Mitchell in a film, reports The Sun. The movie will be based on Sheila Weller's 2008 book Girls Like Us, which charts the lives of female music icons Joni, Carole King and Carly Simon.
Newsroom star Alison Pill is being tipped to play Carole and Mad Men's Jessica Pare is favourite to take on the role of You're So Vain star Carly. Taylor's last movie role was in Valentine's Day. She also lent her voice to the character of Audrey in Dr. Seuss movie Lorax.

She did that for me and is a hit songwriter in her own right.'
