'I had a really tough time when I was in middle school. People would write 'hate petitions' [about me] & send them around to be signed. They'd have CD-bashing parties of my demos. They'd come to my house, stand across the street and yell things. It was a very emotional time for me, and all I wanted to do was get away. Back then, there were times I didn't think I'd be able to move on,
Fortunately, Lovato has made it to the 'other side,' and is now drawing on those painful experiences as new ambassador for Secret's 'Mean Stinks' campaign, encouraging girls to 'gang up for good' to end bullying in schools: 'I heard about the program last year, and thought it was such a great opportunity. They're really trying to put an end to bullying.'
She surprised students at New York City's Young Women's Leadership School to talk about program which asks girls to pledge to have a 'Drama Free School Year' by making a pinky swear, symbolized by wearing blue nail polish on
their pinky fingers. 'I'll definitely be wearing [the nail polish] starting soon. It's a conversation starter: 'Hey, why is your pinky blue?' 'This is a pinky promise that I'm not going to bully people, that me and my friends are ganging up for good.''

Selena Gomez For Global Citizen Festival

Baylor is getting so big. Selena Gomez will be leading an all-star lineup of musicians to help end poverty at the Global Citizen Festival, held in New York City's Central Park, produced by AEG Network Live, and streamed live. The Global Citizen Festival will broadcast live from Central Park on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 4 PM E.T. Watch it live on Palladia, MTV.com, and VH1.com.
Representing US Fund For UNICEF, Selena will be joining Katie Couric, Jeffrey Sachs, Jack Dorsey, Minka Kelly, Sophia Bush, Olivia Wilde, Katharine McPhee and Erin Heatherton at the festival along with TONS of performers, including Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses.
When asked him who the most famous person in his phonebook is, Bieby said: 'Jesus is in my phone. I called him last night. He told me to remember to say my prayers and eat healthy.' Did he go clubbing with Niall in the UK? 'We don't go clubbing, we just hang out low-key and just chill.'

Amanda Bynes, 'I'm Moving To New York'

Amanda Bynes told PEOPLE: 'I am doing amazing. I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false.'
Source: 'People around Amanda are really concerned about her. She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem. On Wednesday her attorney, Richard Hutton, appeared in a Beverly Hills courthouse where the judge denied a $50,000 bail request from prosecutors for her April DUI arrest.
At the hearing, however, the judge said if Bynes breaks any road rules going forward, a high but unspecified bail amount will be imposed, reports TMZ. Her parents have now relocated to LA to save her.
