If the race was run on tour earnings alone, Little Mix would be the top girl group in the world eight times over. According to a new report, Little Mix is the highest grossing girl group in over a decade and a top ten female touring act in 2017. Looks like all that time on the road is paying off–literally.
Taylor Swift effectively outlawed bad press for her album when it dropped, but that hasn’t stopped articles about her poor tour sales from getting published. Taylor apparently didn’t like what the New York Post had to say about her inability to sell out a single show on the “Reputation World Tour,” and has added seven new gigs to prove a point.
Taylor Swift was all set to make her “Reputation World Tour” her most profitable yet. Aware of the high demand her shows would generate, the singer even teamed up with Ticketmaster for a Verified Fan program that would give diehard Swifties the first chance to score access.
But that appeared to only put fans in line for tickets they couldn’t afford, as prices for the new stadium run are well above what Taylor charged on “The 1989 World Tour.” Now, an anonymous industry source is saying the entire plan is backfiring as Taylor isn’t selling out shows as expected.
It has not been Katy Perry’s year. Her 2017 has been marred by scandal, a flop for the ages and technical difficulties. Things keep getting worse for the singer as her family is threatened by the Los Angeles wildfires. Apparently, Katy needed a day away from it all, and she took one while on tour in Orlando, where she had a chance to stop by Walt Disney World.
Taylor Swift’s Verified Fan program with Ticketmaster is rolling out now. Ahead of tickets being made available for the general public on Taylor’s birthday next week, the diehard Swifties who have been earning their way to the front of the line are finally getting their hands on their tickets. Apparently, some of them still weren’t prepared for price tag.
Taylor Swift joined iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles Friday night. The singer even brought a plus-one as her pal Ed Sheeran showed up for a special performance of “End Game” off of “Reputation.” The duo showed off why they’re both best known as singer-songwriters as Taylor danced through a rap feature from Ed on the track.
