Delta Goodrem spoke to Herald Sun about breakdown of her engagement to Brian McFadden: 'I think everyone goes through changes, and every decision I’ve made has been one from my heart. I’m so happy where I am at with my life right now. But definitely I had some tough times, there is no denying that.
It took me a second to stop and think, but I had to make better changes for my life and I was in a place I needed to move on from. I have now, and I’m really proud of myself for that. I’m so happy and so thankful to be free as a person. I’m at such peace, I don’t remotely feel anything bad. I only wish them well.
I’m getting to do The Voice, I’m doing my music, I’m myself again. I want to be a young 27-year-old, loving music, that’s me. That is who I am and I didn’t get to be me for a second. I feel like I’ve grown up. It’s really interesting, because now I know what it is like to have grown up.'

Delta Goodrem has enlisted the same music manager that launched the career of Rihanna. Delta, who has sold five million albums worldwide, signed up with New York-based Marc Jordan of the Rebel One management company.
Delta told Confidential: 'We had a meeting and we just hit it off right away, he's a great guy. He's going to come out here next week.' On her new album: 'I've had it finished for so long and I've been inviting people over to my house to listen to it so I can ask what they think," she said. "I just can't wait to get it out there.'
