Demi Lovato's speech at AMHSA's National Children's Mental Health Awards. Demi got a special recognition award! More details HERE! Demi: 'That pressure wears on kids, especially young women. But now I imagine those feelings while struggling with a mental-health issue or substance abuse. You’re constantly asking yourself, ‘What will happen if people know my diagnosis?’ ‘What if they don’t want to be my friend anymore?’
For me, it was more complicated. ‘Would I lose my career, doing what I love?’ ..I pretended for a long time to be OK so that I could continue to work. I didn’t want to lose that part of my life, because what I love most about touring and making music, it’s the connection that I make with my fans. It’s indescribable.
And that’s why I’m here today, to tell young people who are asking themselves those questions, uncertain of what lies ahead, that they are not alone. There are people that they can talk to, people that can help, but I’m also here to tell the adults in the crowd who think they’re already too overcommitted to take any time to get to know a young person, please think again.'

On Taylor: 'She's so great! She sent me a video and she's, like, dancing. She's like the cutest dancer, because she has this little ponytail and her little bangs, and she's like just the cutest thing in the world. She's the best. She's supported me from my first record to this one, and she's heard all of my stuff, so she's really sweet.'
On Demi's music: 'I love it. The one thing I appreciate about Demi is that she has her own individual style, and that's something she's wanted to remain no matter where she is, and I definitely love that and admire that about her.'

Demi, 'Selena Will Always Be There'

The reporter asks her why she need to remember to stay strong: 'I need to remind myself that I am human and that everyone can have a bad day. And now I have a responsibility to be a role model for young women and men.'
Fan: Are you and Selena still friends? 'We grew up together and have known for a long time. Nowadays we're both super busy, but I know she will always be there for me.' Fan: Do you have any dreams that have not yet done? 'I want to go to the ceremony for a Grammy award, is to sing, as a presenter or indicated. I want to be part of it.' EVOLVE interview. On DEMI: Thanks for having me! But yes, my self titled album 'DEMI' comes out on May 14 and is by FAR the best reflection of who I am as a person to date. I touch on some really heavy topics this time around, so I feel like this album is a definite step up for me musically and a great way to mature with my fans and open up to them about sides of me they've yet to meet.
Most excited for your fans to hear?The song that stands out to me that I think fans will absolutely LOVE is Nightingale. It's one of my personal favorites on the album that has a really deep, personal meaning to me. Warrior is also one that I think fans will be in love with because I know I am.. But I don't want to give away too much! It’s awesome to see how humble, grateful and true you’ve stayed through your success. What keeps you going when times get tough?
No matter how cheesy or cliche this may sound, the things that keep me going are God, my family, my fans, and music. I have no idea where I would be had I not been in this industry with such an amazing fan base who supports me and loves me at my highest highs and my lowest lows and I don't even want to imagine it. I owe my existence to love, faith, and passion.
Demi 'Niall And I NEVER Happened!'
Demi Lovato told MTV that she’s sick of hearing the rumor or her dating Niall Horan: 'I’m so tired of that! It never happened. Niall’s a really sweet guy and I definitely consider him a friend, but it’s never crossed that line.. He’s a sweet kid and we have an understanding, but we’re just friends.'
Will Demetria do a fashion line? She told Company: 'Right now, I'm focused on music and touring, so I think it'd be a lot to take on fashion as well. You never know though, I'm kind of like a machine. I just keep on going. If I were to do anything with fashion, it would have to have meaning behind it and to make women feel happy whatever body shape they are.'
