Disney Channel Teen Beach Movie July 19
Disney Channel will premiere 'Teen Beach Movie' a modern take on classic beach party movies, FRIDAY, JULY 19 (8:00 PM, ET/PT). The movie trailer will debut exclusively on Disney.com (3:00 a.m., ET/12:00 AM PT) and on Disney Channel (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on FRIDAY, MARCH 15.
Starring are Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell as Brady and McKenzie, surfers who take the last wave of summer, one that mysteriously takes them into a classic beach party movie, Wet Side Story. There, it's surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout.. and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day,
But their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently change the movie's romantic storyline, and the movie's handsome surf guy, Tanner, is falling for McKenzie while biker girl Lela is swooning for Brady. Cast includes: Grace Phipps as Lela, Garrett Clayton as Tanner, John Deluca as Butchy, Chrissie Fit as Cheechee, Kevin Chamberlin and Steve Valentines.
ALSO Disney has plans to reinterpret the classic 1991 animated 'Beauty and the Beast' as a live-action film called 'The Beast', reports Deadline. The film will likely screen in 3D. Recent successes include 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' and 2010's 'Alice in Wonderland.'
