Emily Osment, 'I Cried Filming Cyberbully'

Emily Osment Cyberbully interview with KiwiCommons: I was approached with an offer for the film about two months ago and it was right before I was about to leave out of the country to go play shows & I honestly almost rescheduled. At the last minute I decided to go in and I read the script in about half an hour and..
..I rushed in and met with Joel Rice, who’s the producer of the film, and we read together. We did a few scenes, and he was really ecstatic for the opportunity for me to be involved in this film which was surprising for me because I’ve never truly experiences that, of someone who fought so hard to get me in a room to meet and do this movie. He said ‘we saw you when we looked at the film the first time and I think you’d be so great in this’.
So I looked at the film again and I really fell in love with the character, especially the fact that she takes such an incredible journey through this and I think that’s kind of attractive to anyone whose an actor because you don’t want to play a bland character, you don’t want to play a flat character, you want to play a character that has an arc and starts one place and ends 180 degrees from that. I
think that’s what really got me hooked on this film, and plus all of the campaigns going on around it with Delete Digital drama and StompOutBullying.org, and all of the really cool campaigns, I think that this is going to be for a good cause and it’s going to help me do what I want to do.
