On life: 'I remember being twelve and thinking, I can't wait until I'm sixteen, because by then I'm going to have a car, a driver's license, a really cool boyfriend, and boobs. Now I'm eighteen, I have none of those things!'
On aunt Julia: 'Some people look at me and think, She's just Julia Roberts's niece. So I wanted to do something smaller and edgier, something that would show I really am an actress. I'm not in competition with her; she's one of the biggest movie stars in the world!'

Emma Roberts hitting up Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday in West Hollywood. +2! Emma may star in Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac. A source told Fabulous Emma:
'
Emma just did a cameo in the Japanese version of memoirs. It stars the two biggest teen stars in Japan.
She plays Alice. The gay high school theater director. If there is a US version she will play the lead. Anton Yelchin also appears in the Japanese version as Ace.' The movie is in post-production now and will be released in Japan this year. It's based on the book by Gabrielle Zevin.

Emma Roberts, who just turned 18, has been named the new face of Neutrogena, reports People. Former faces include Jennifer Garner, Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere. She will be featured in the new television commercials and print ads. Emma said:

Emma Roberts: 'It's Hard To Take Lindsay Seriously As An Actress.'

Emma Roberts new interview with MovieHole. What are the challenges for you in making the transition from adolescence to adulthood? 'I just think it's very thin ice you're walking on, to make the
transition from child actor to adolescence. You know, so many
people just mess it up, and they do things that are so outrageous. And
it's like, the whole point is, like, Anne Hathaway.
The fact that was
is Princess Diaries, like, you'd never think about that. Whereas, like,
Lindsay Lohan, you still know that she was in Freaky Friday and The
Parent Trap, and it's hard to take her seriously. So that's why I
really like, like, Anne Hathaway is a great example.
I think she's
been nominated for so many awards this year. And the fact that she
starred in a Disney movie when she was in her teens, a lot of people
don't even know that, I don't think.
Do you feel lucky from the opportunities you have had? 'I'm really
lucky. And I know I'm lucky. I'm just really, like, thankful for it
all the time, because I know that there's millions and millions of
girls who want to be doing exactly what
I'm doing or want to be an
actress.

Emma's USA Today interview excerpts. On celebrity misbehavior: 'It's all played out. There's not a lot of original ways to get attention in the press. Everyone has used up all the good ones, DUI, eating disorders, getting pregnant.'
On her free time: 'When I'm not working, I don't do lots of
glamorous things. I do schoolwork and hang out with friends. I read a
lot. Right now I'm reading A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. I liked the title and it's a period book.
And Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris. I love Chuck Palahniuk as an author. I love Invisible Monsters. It's really twisted but really cool. I think he's amazing. My favorite book is The Perks of Being a
Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.'
On college: 'I just sent out all my applications. I only applied to three schools
because I figure if I don't get into my top choice, I'll defer and
apply again. I
want to study photography, literature and
writing.'
