You search for faults, ignoring the overall picture. Not only sings well enough to strike a chord with a huge audience.. she writes, dances, acts, and is a dazzling performer.
Taylor is the best-dressed young female artist today, in league with Hollywood's most glamorous stars. When I met her, I was impressed by her sincere transparent niceness. Taylor's a lovely young lady.. Smarts, manners,
..and class.. If there's an award for being the best role model for her generation, I'd like to be the one to give it to Taylor Swift.. Having sung many times at the Grammys, I can tell you that the stress and anxiety of performing in front of the world's top artists in every genre of music is tortuous for even the most seasoned singer.'

Conforming to nonconformity is equal conformity; don't mess with any of it. Music is the same way. Artists that TRY to be mainstream are called 'rip-offs'. Artists that TRY super hard to be different are 'posers'. No matter how eccentric or nonsensical or mainstream a piece of music is, there's always going to be someone who likes it and someone who hates it.
All we can do is genuinely create an audible manifestation of our souls. Know yourself, know the music in your soul and then put it together out loud, lyrics, instruments, tempo, in the combination that feels like it matches it most honestly. That's my definition of good music.
