Miranda Cosgrove and Christina Ricci will star in NBC Comedy 'Girlfriend in a Coma', according to THR. The comedy revolves around Karen (Ricci), who after almost two decades, wakes up from a coma to find out she has a 17-year-old daughter from a pregnancy she was unaware of when her life was put on hold.
Miranda will play Evie, a small-town overachieving loner who can't shake the legacy of being the daughter of 'Coma Lady.' When her mother wakes up, her world is turned upside down and every hope she had of keeping her nose to the grindstone, saving money and getting grades for an out-of-state college, is thrown out the window.

Miranda Cosgrove's toy poodle Pearl died this weekend. She Tweeted: 'My dog, Pearl, passed away today. She was there on my first day of kindergarten and my first day of college. I'll love her forever.' Miranda told People in 2008:
'I love getting to come home from work and see her there. I run up to her and she's always excited to see me. She's very old and I wasn't sure if she would be able to handle touring life. [My dad] said that she's been waiting on our couch and looking out the window for the last few nights. I miss her.'
