1D want to play at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee concert in London this June: 'I'd love to meet her Royal Highness. I grew up listening to the Beatles because my dad used to play them over and over again. We've got a lot of big plans but I'm sure anything would be struck out of the diary if an invitation came along.'
A concert insider told the Daily Mirror: 'Obviously organiser Gary Barlow has close connections with Simon Cowell and 'The X Factor' and is keen to get One Direction signed up by the end of the month.'

One Direction made history today as their debut album UP ALL NIGHT entered the US Billboard 200 chart at #1 with over 176,000 copies sold. This makes chart history as the first British group ever to debut at #1 in the US with their debut album release. UP ALL NIGHT went straight to No.1 on the digital chart within minutes of its official release last Tuesday March13th.
1D will perform their hit single 'What Makes You Beautiful' on the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards March 31, and will appear in an episode of iCarly 'iGo One Direction' set to premiere April 7 on Nickelodeon. The band will also be the musical guests on Saturday Night Live April 7 with guest host Sofia Vergara.
Their 2013 UK/ Ireland Arena Tour sold out immediately with more dates needing to be added. An estimated 300,000 tickets were sold in the first day. One Direction’s tour of Australia & New Zealand sold out in just three minutes.

Are The Boys of One Direction Single? To the glee of Directioners everywhere Harry informed, “Three of us are single. Liam and Louis have girlfriends, but for the purpose of this interview they don’t!” How Did The Band Come Together? “We were on the show X-Factor [British version]. Simon [Cowell] and Nicole Scherzinger thought it would be better if they put us together in to a band.. and we’ve been together ever since,” explains Liam.
What Was Your Initial Reaction? Niall recalls being “honestly shocked, because a couple of minutes earlier we were leaving the competition as soloists. Then two minutes later we were in a group and still going to go on in the competition.”
How Did You Build Up Your Chemistry? Niall continued, “We all went to Harry’s house and we all spent a week getting to know each other to make sure we were all friends before we were band mates. We were playing soccer all the time and just jamming on the guitar…we all get along really well, and even when we’re not at work we all spend time together and we all live next to each other.”
