Selena Gomez, 'I'm Always Made Fun Of'

New international popstar Selena Gomez revealed to Tiger Beat that she has been teased throughout her life: 'I'm always made fun of. There was a group of girls who were on the meaner side. It's a big deal trying to fit in at school and making sure you're in the in crowd. I always try to say, 'Be the best you can be.' I think you learn a lot of lessons. Everybody goes through that.'
When it comes to dealing with bullies, Sel said that it's important to stick up for yourself: 'Everybody has to do that at one point in their life. I always say if you take the high road, you're much better off. I've always taken the higher road and look where I'm at now. So very happy!'
On teasing that she encounters now: 'I embrace. My mom taught me to be 'whatever' about things. Basically to not take things so personally. If you are confident in yourself and know who your true friends are, you'll be happy. You can't think that you're not as good as anyone else. Be careful of what you do, say and who you hang out with. Represent yourself well.'

From @gracegorms: I met Selena Gomez today at the 104.7 Kissfm studio in Phoenix. When she first came in I saw her and she asked if my friends and I were coming up to meet her and we said we dind't have passes, so her mom said she'd sign us after. At first only the people who won passes got to go up and meet her, then we went outside and screamed so Selena came down and met us and took pictures. She is the sweetest person I have ever met.

Selena, 'Miley Is Growing With Hannah..'

Selena Gomez chatted with MTV about how Miley Cyrus' Disney Channel show has finally been canceled: 'I think that she's growing with the show, and I think it's such a great platform for her. And she's lived up to it as wonderfully as she could, and I think she continues to carry it, but she's ready for other things.'
Miley is hoping to tackle more mature things now. She told Harper's Bazaar: 'Everything is so dramatic in the world. My job is to be a role model, and that's what I want to do, but my job isn't to be a parent.
My job isn't to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I'm still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That's just life.'

Selena talks about meeting Demi at Barney, what they were coloring and she remembers Dem i was wearing a jean jacket. Kidd said how a friendship that's lasted that long doesn't just go away even if you get into arguments and she said something like of course she's been in my life for ten years. They brough up the topic of rumors and how people were saying her and Demi had a falling out but she didn't confirm or deny it. She just said those things came with the job.
