Performer Erykah Badu hosted the 2015 Soul Train Music Awards last night, and she decided to take aim at “Black Widow” rapper Iggy Azalea. During Erykah’s opening monologue, the host made fake phone calls to artists who weren’t invited to the show. After Iggy “answered” the call, she “asked” the host if she could attend the ceremony.
“Yeah, hey. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no you can come, ’cause what you doin’ is definitely not rap,” Erykah says.
Iggy has yet to respond to Erykah’s joke, but the rapper has spoken out against previous backlash so a reply could be likely.

Do you consider Iggy Azalea an actual rapper, or do you find her cultural appropriation distasteful?
