Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran And Fifth Harmony To Perform At 2017 MTV VMAs

Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran And Fifth Harmony To Perform At 2017 MTV VMAs featureMTV has finally announced the live performers scheduled for the 2017 Video Music Awards. The VMAs will be hosted by Katy Perry, and she’ll be sharing the stage with plenty of friendly faces. The night’s performances will include Katy’s old pal Miley Cyrus and the man whose ball sack she wants on her, Ed Sheeran. Just don’t expect Ed to mention Taylor Swift at all.

Fifth Harmony will also take a turn on stage, as will Lorde, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes. The most surprising inclusion might be professional creep Jared Leto’s band, 30 Seconds to Mars. Jared and his mid-2000s nostalgia act are gearing up for their first album in years, so expect something new and probably disgusting.

Cue The Publicity Stunts: Katy Perry Set To Host The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards

Katy Perry will be the host of the 2017 MTV VMAsThe 2017 MTV Video Music Awards will be here sooner than you know it. After announcing the nominees, the network has unveiled who will be running the ship. After making the ratings mistake of not having a host in 2016, Katy Perry will officially be running the show this year.

The singer announced her hosting gig on Thursday with a video of herself dressed as a moonwoman. “I’ve been training with @MTV in zero gravity, eating astronaut ice cream, and I’m on a group text with Buzz Aldrin and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Come August 27th, I’ll be ready to be your MOONWOMAN! Brace for impact, kids,” she captioned the video.

There’s no word on what tricks the singer has up her sleeve, but don’t be surprised if Taylor Swift happens to be at the show for a public reconciliation–not unlike the time Taylor used the VMAs to make up with Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.
