Nick Jonas didn’t win an MTV VMA or a Grammy–or even get nominated for the matter–but the singer can be satisfied in knowing that he is finally being recognized. Radio Disney announced that the singer will be receiving the Hero Award at this year’s ceremony for all of his philanthropic work with the Type 1 diabetes community.
The actor’s “Jumanji” co-star Jack Black will present the singer with his honor, making him a part of Radio Disney’s club of heroes that includes Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez. Along with Nick’s Hero Award, the singer is also nominated in three categories, including: “Best Song To Lip Sync To.”
The RDMAs will air on April 30 at 7pm ET.
