Adele will never forget the legacy that Amy Winehouse left behind and she won’t let her fans forget, either. During Adele’s Wednesday night concert in Boston, the singer honored the late Amy on what would have been her 33rd birthday. She also penned a short tribute to Amy on Instagram.
“I feel like I owe so much of my career to her,” Adele told the crowd. “I used to think she was the coolest motherfucker. Because of her I write my own songs. If it wasn’t for her, it wouldn’t be happening.” The singer went on to ask for the house lights to come on as she dedicated “Make You Feel My Love” to Amy.
“We love you, we always will,” Adele added.
