Ansel Elgort Tries to “Nae Nae”, Fails Miserably

AnselElgortAwkwardNaeNaeIn a video shoot for Teen Vogue’s September issue, cover star Ansel Elgort awkwardly tries showing off his moves while dancing through the decades.

In the video, the “Fault in Our Stars” actor attempts to “Nae Nae”, but totally fails at it. He should probably stick to other styles of dance, like ANY of the other ones.

Check out the video for yourself.

Ansel Elgort Featured on the Cover of Teen Vogue, Thinks of Himself as Three Different People

Ansel Elgort Teen Vogue coverAnsel Elgort is featured on the cover of the September issue of Teen Vogue. The actor sat down with the magazine to discuss how he tries to separate being an actor from his work as a DJ and his active but laidback personal life.

“You know, it might be a weird actor thing, but I think of myself as a few different people,” he said. “Like, I think of myself as Ansel—that’s one person. And then I’m Ansel Elgort. That’s another person. And then I’m Ansolo.”

Ansel clarified, “So for Ansel, the best day of my life has been on the beach on Long Island with my family, totally chilling without a worry in the world. For Ansel Elgort, presenting at the Oscars was pretty sick. For Ansolo, I was so excited when Steve Angello, my favorite DJ, played my song ‘Totem’ for the first time. I started crying. Then when I heard he was going to sign it to his label, I was freaking out,” he told the magazine.

During the interview, the usually well-groomed actor talked about his strange experiences at the 2015 Oscars, and revealed how he lives his life from one extreme to the next.

“I was in L.A. for four days, and every day leading up to the ceremony I wore the same thing, and I smelled so bad,” he joked. “One day we went hiking in the mountains, and I got so dirty. The day of the Oscars, I go from looking like a slob to wearing a gorgeous Prada suit. It’s like living in two different worlds.”

You can see pictures from Teen Vogue and listen to “Totem” below.

Do you think Ansel might have what it takes to become as successful a DJ as he is as an actor?
