Charlie Puth has pulled out of his upcoming show at the Arizona State Fair due to illness according to the Fair’s official Facebook page. Charlie’s concert was supposed to go down this Friday at 7pm local time, but now the State Fair and ticket services are issuing refunds for the cancelled concert. The State Fair shared a comment from Charlie’s team on the cancellation.
“Due to his current illness, Charlie has been ordered by his physician to abstain from all performances for 7 days and will have to cancel his upcoming performance at the Arizona State Fair,” the statement read in part. There aren’t any other details on what Charlie’s suffering from.
The public reaction to the Fair’s post about the cancellation was mixed. While some offered suggestions for replacement acts, others asked–sometime sincerely and sometimes sarcastically–who Charlie is. But at least one comment seems to suggest that the Nebraska State Fair’s organizers were on to something when they booked Charlie earlier in the year to bring in a younger crowd.
