Iggy Azalea is sparing no time for her minor beef with Halsey. Instead, she’s looking to settle a much bigger professional feud. The Australian musician has announced that she’s teaming up with rapper and witch Azealia Banks for a new collaboration. Iggy took to Snapchat to share the news before hopping on Twitter to answer an onslaught of fan questions about the team-up.
She led off by writing, “I don’t expect you guys to understand why I would collaborate with someone who has publicly said they hope i die.” Despite their rocky history, Iggy is excited at the chance to “make it positive and also be creative together.”
Azealia’s reputation has suffered even more since her feud with Iggy thanks to her racist attacks on Zayn Malik and her closet full of chicken guts. But when Iggy was questioned about working with Azealia, she wrote, “I think it’s good for female rap.”
“I think females in rap need to really be unified to prosper,” Iggy wrote in another tweet. “We need more collaborations to happen.” Aside from its headline-grabbing potential, Iggy seems to love the idea of working with Azealia because it’s coming free of charge.
