Fans were left waiting for Little Mix to take the stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend on Sunday. According to a tweet sent out after the set, Jade Thirwall explains that the delay was her fault. The Little Mix member’s “trousers split” as she was headed to the stage.
Eventually the ladies made it to the stage and they put on a lively performance for their eager fans. Little Mix brought out big hits, both old and new. The girl band also delivered its Stormzy-featured new single, “Power.”
In the middle of the set, Jade made up for the late arrival with a touching moment for fans. She addressed the crowd ahead of performing “Secret Love Songs” and dedicated it to Little Mix’s LGBTQ fans. “It’s important we encourage all our fans to be exactly who they are,” she said.
It also appears as though Little Mix’s entire set was cut from the Big Weekend’s iPlayer after Perrie Edwards dropped the f-bomb in front of the large crowd. The incident happened after Perrie belted out a long string of high notes during “Down and Dirty.”
Fans, of course, captured any footage that could have been removed. Watch Little Mix’s performance below.
