The Vamps Awkwardly Cover Fifth Harmony’s Female Empowerment Anthem

The Vamps Awkwardly Cover Fifth Harmony's Female Empowerment AnthemBritish pop/rock group The Vamps stopped by BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” Tuesday morning. The boy band decided to cover Fifth Harmony’s girl power anthem, “That’s My Girl.” The song choice might have a few Harmonizers raising their eyebrows after a near-impossible to forget 2015 interview. Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui dated The Vamps’ lead vocalist Brad Simpson for a little under a year. The breakup turned messy after Brad’s bandmate James McVey, in an interview, joked that everyone in the band “had a bit of a go” with the Fifth Harmony member. James attempted to apologize, but the ladies rallied around Lauren and lashed out.

Fast forward nearly two years after the dreaded interview that left Harmonizers and fans of The Vamps feuding and the boy band chooses to cover Fifth Harmony’s female empowerment anthem. Odd.
