Zayn Malik was spotted twice on Friday in New York City, bringing the week to a very rare close. The singer, who is known for steering clear of public settings, began his day at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony. He showed up looking polished, yet edgy in a double-breasted blazer over a plain white dress shirt paired with grey patterned slacks and a pair of Chelsea boots. After the ceremony, he traded in the slim-fit button down and blazer for a graphic tee and a denim jacket to head over to girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s apartment. Zayn stuck with his award ceremony trousers and boots, which proves how effortlessly the singer can transition from semi-formal to casual.

Could Zayn’s sudden choice to remain visible be the trademark “Taylor Effect” following the surprise release of a duet with the “Bad Blood” singer?

Nick Jonas was honored with the task of presenting Billboard Women in Music’s “Icon” award to his first and forever celebrity crush, Shania Twain. The special moment at Friday’s ceremony was enough to make Nick, a star in his own right, weak in the knees.
Nick, starstruck, couldn’t help himself from using the stage to gloat about sweet revenge. “To all the mean kids at school who made fun of me for singing ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman,’ suck it—I’m getting a hug,” the singer told the crowd.
After the long-awaited hug was shared and the night was over, Nick continued to relish the moment with a series of Instagram posts.”That moment your lifelong crush knows you exist…#stilltheone,” Nick wrote alongside a photo of Shania holding his face.
See the photos below and tune into Lifetime at 9PM ET on December 12 to watch the award ceremony in full.

Meghan Trainor had to pull out of a performance at the Billboard Women in Music Awards due to an illness. Luckily, someone was there to cover for her with a cover of her song “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.” The girls of Fifth Harmony did a stripped down version of the song accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. The sparse arrangement gave the ladies a chance to harmonize.
