Camila Cabello continues to come out as the winner in the race to be better than Fifth Harmony. After getting her first UK number one with “Havana,” Billboard recently announced that the singer will also be honored at the Women In Music awards as this year’s “Breakthrough Artist.”

Billboard is celebrating another year of Women in Music and has announced that Kesha will receive the “Trailblazer” award at the upcoming event. “She’s a force on stage, an inspiration in person and a true Trailblazer for millions of music fans around the world,” says co-president and Chief Creative Officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group Janice Min.
This year’s honorees also include “Chart Topper” award recipient Meghan Trainor and Halsey who will receive the “Rising Star” award. Each of women will perform at the event which takes place on December 9 before airing on Lifetime on December 11.

Meghan Trainor has been added to the list of honorees at Billboard’s 11th annual Women in Music. Meghan, a recent Grammy Award-winning singer, will be honored as this year’s “Chart Topper.” The award calls out a female artist who made large achievements throughout the year on Billboard’s charts.
“Meghan Trainor’s one-of-a-kind voice and bold personal style have propelled her to the top o the Billboard charts,” president and chief creative officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group says. “From ‘All About that Base’ to ‘No,’ Trainor’s songs have helped make her the consummate ‘Chart Topper.'”
More honorees will be announced in the coming weeks and the Billboard 2016 Women in Music event will be held on December 9 in New York. The special will air on Lifetime December 12.

Billboard has announced that it will be honoring Fifth Harmony with the Group of the Year award. The girls are also scheduled to perform at the Women In Music event being held in New York City on December 11th.
“Fifth Harmony defines the consummate group dynamic: five women with a strong, united voice and a commitment to celebrating female empowerment,” Janice Min, the co-president and Chief Creative Officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, said.
