Rihanna’s a fashionista free agent. Whether she’s dominating Paris Fashion Week for Puma or getting shady with Dior, the singer is a force to be reckoned with whenever she signs on for a style collaboration. Her latest joint effort is further proof that high fashion runs in her veins.
Rihanna has teamed up with Chopard for a collection of stylish and expensive jewelry. The singer picked out a special shade–Jungle Green–to add to some of the ritzy design house’s classic looks for a new line called “Rihanna Loves Chopard.” The result is a series of gold and green cubist designs with simple, modern elegance.
But don’t let the simplicity fool you–any one of the new pieces will be a serious investment. They range in price from $1,460 to $11,140, and costs for a few of the bigger statement pieces in the collection are only available “upon request.”
All of the rings, necklaces and earrings are all made with “ethical 18kt ‘Fairmined’ rose gold and diamonds” to ensure that none of that cash ends up in the wrong hands. It’s a nice nod to Rihanna’s activist work. Each of the nine pieces in the collection will have a limited edition run of 2,000.
According to a report, the collection will debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Expect Rihanna to be wearing something from the new collection if she shows up to promote her mysterious role in “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.”
Anyone with the dough can pre-order now.
