Billed as “fall’s wildest tourmates,” Halsey and Charli XCX are splitting cover duties for the latest issue of Billboard. As the headliner and opener duo prepares for Halsey’s September tour kick off, they apparently got really drunk after performing a “Spice Girls” cover and dished on just how messy they like to get together.
“Part of our brand is ‘hot mess,’” Halsey tells the interviewer. “Being authentic. ‘Yeah, it’s 5 a.m., and I’m wasted and I’m fucking doing that.’ So if I look like shit on a certain day…” Halsey trails off before Charli chimes in: “It’s my brand!” Halsey and Charli seem eager to position themselves as pop’s new turn up queens, but not without reservations.
“I’m scared, because I’ve been sober on every tour I’ve ever done,” Halsey explains. “And I’m not going to be with Charli there.” While Charli thinks that’s a good think, Halsey went on, “I’m neurotic. I had a really bad experience. We did Madison Square Garden and it was a sold-out show, the biggest of my career, and three songs in, everything stopped: tracks, lights, video. Everything failed, because there was one wire unplugged.”
Camila Cabello will soon make her Rollacoaster Magazine cover debut and the singer teased a few of the photos from the upcoming issue. Wonderland previewed highlights from the singer’s cover story in which she talked about making music on her own versus in a group and how she tapped Charli XCX for her album.
“She’s always been so nice to me,” Camila says of her “OMG” co-writer. “Before I met her I think she tweeted about my song ;Bad Things’ and then she expressed that she really wanted to write with me. Obviously I’m such a huge fan of her, she’s an amazing writer.”

Halsey has been spending a lot of quality time with Charli XCX as Charli is getting ready to open on the “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour.” The two got to show off how well they can share a stage this weekend at Lollapalooza in Chicago. To celebrate her 7th consecutive Lolla, Halsey decided join Charli for a cover of the Spice Girls’ classic hit “Wannabe.”
The duo apparently couldn’t spring for a decent karaoke version of the song, but the auto-tuned studio vocals blasting helped cover up some gaps in the performance as Halsey and Charli jumped and danced around. While it wasn’t exactly a performance to rival the real Spice Girls, it was an impressive display of the on-stage chemistry between the duo.
As they prepare to start Halsey’s tour together, maybe more team-ups like this are in the works. The world may know when the tour kicks off at the end of September.

Charli XCX got a star-studded cast of men for her “Boys” video. Joe Jonas, Charlie Puth and more got to play hunks for the visual, and it has a lot of people talking. Fans ate up the chance to see their favorite hunks doing things like cuddling puppies and washing cars. Charli took to Twitter on Saturday to answer questions about the video, including one about who would be in a video for a hypothetical song called “Girls” if she shot it.
She had such a huge list of names that she ran out of room in her tweet. Notable mentions included Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner, Camila Cabello, Zara Larsson, Tove Lo and Carly Rae Jepsen, among others. The all-star lineup would make for a great video. Charli even made it sound like she’d be interested in getting Selena’s artistic collaborator Petra Collins for the visual.
