Demi Lovato has Twitter losing its mind again, but this time it’s not because the users hate her. Demi dropped an enigmatic announcement in a tweet on Wednesday, writing, “Recording a DREAM COLLABORATION today!!!!” Demi said that dreams do come true, but refused to reveal a name. That set off a firestorm of speculation about who Demi’s dream collaborators might be.

It’s not hard to argue that Demi Lovato has one of the most soulful voices in music today. While promoting her upcoming album, the singer has promised that fans will hear a lot of that soul soon. In order to help get the R&B sound, Demi revealed that she channeled another soulful pop star.
“I grew up listening to Christina Aguilera,” Demi told PEOPLE after her Spotify launch party. “She was one of my idols growing up. She still is. Her voice is incredible, and in [Aguliera’s 2002 album] ‘Stripped’ you really got to hear that.”
Katy Perry is full of surprises. The singer revealed the artwork for her upcoming album without any teasers. The reveal is earning high praise from fans, but it’s also sparked some comparisons to work from other artists. While Katy’s Eurythmics-inspired style on the cover might be another sign of a New Wave revival, the artwork itself is drawing comparisons to several notable works.
Comparisons to the cover of Christina Aguilera’s 2010 album “Bionic” come from the peroxide blonde hair and the surreal imagery. The eyeball in the mouth looks pretty similar to the cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s 2009 single “Zero.” The surrealism actually goes way back to famous Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, who often used similar motifs in his work.

Kylie Jenner’s impersonation skills were requested in honor of Christina Aguilera’s birthday. The reality star was asked to show up to Christina’s birthday bash Saturday night dressed in vintage Xtina attire, just like her Halloween costume. “When XTINA wants u to dress as XTINA for her bday you do it,” Kylie wrote on Snapchat.
Instead of dusting off her red and black recreation of Christina’s 2002 “Dirrty” music video attire, Kylie changed things up a bit. She still stuck to the video’s theme, but opted for a yellow and black variation instead.

Kylie Jenner must’ve felt the pressure after half-assing night one of Halloween weekend. On Friday, the cosmetics mogul stepped out with boyfriend Tyga in a pretty lame skeleton couple look. On Saturday, Kylie kicked things up a notch by paying homage to pop princess Christina Aguilera. More specifically, Kylie took on Xtina’s most controversial era, “Dirrty.” Sporting a skimpy striped top and the infamous leather chaps, Kylie turned her fair share of heads.
“Can I be XTINA forever,” Kylie captioned one of her videos.

Ariana Grande is still riding high off of the release of “Dangerous Woman” last Friday. She performed at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards before dropping a new music video for “Into You.” On Tuesday night, Ariana stopped by the season finale of “The Voice” on NBC to sing a duet with Christina Aguilera.
Ariana and Christina joined forces to perform for the studio audience. Oh, and Zayn was there, too.
