Suspect Arrested For Threatening To Bomb Ariana Grande’s Costa Rica Concert

Suspect Arrested For Threatening To Bomb Ariana Grande's Costa Rica Concert featureCosta Rican authorities arrested a man who threatened to bomb Ariana Grande’s Sunday night concert in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The man, a Colombian identified by the family names Caicedo Lopez, reportedly made threats to bomb the concert online. Lead investigator Walter Espinoza told local media that the suspect’s online threats were written in Arabic.

The threat comes after Ariana’s concert in Manchester, England was bombed in May. That attack killed 22 and disrupted Ariana’s “Dangerous Woman Tour” as she recovered from the shocking incident. Ariana eventually returned to the stage to close out her tour’s European leg before heading to South America, but not before a massive benefit show in Manchester.

The Costa Rica show went ahead as planned Sunday night. Tuesday, authorities noted that the suspect was later released on Sunday night. He remains on parole while the investigation is underway.

Brazilian Fans Recreate Ariana Grande's Iconic Looks To Celebrate South American Tour Kick-OffThe European leg of Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman Tour” drew to an emotional close  in Italy following the tragic attack weeks prior in Manchester. Ariana, a force to be reckoned with, triumphantly went ahead with the tour’s South American leg and her fans were creatively supportive.

The latest stretch of the tour kicked off Thursday night in Rio de Janeiro. Ariana’s Brazilian fans have proven to be possibly the most dedicated by showing up to the concert dressed in some of the singer’s most iconic looks.

One fan was the spitting image of Ariana’s Wednesday Addams-esque black ensemble. Another fan pulled out the pink plastic trench coat and matching visor while someone else recreated the “Side to Side” athletic look, wig and all.

Ariana Grande Closes Out The European Leg Of Her “Dangerous Woman Tour”

Ariana Grande Finishes Out The European Leg Of Her Dangerous Woman Tour featureAriana Grande could’ve called the European leg of the “Dangerous Woman Tour” off after the Manchester show and it would’ve been hard to blame her. The singer did take some time off, canceling shows after the bombing, until she returned to the stage at a massive, star-studded benefit concert.

The singer eventually picked up where she left off with her original tour in Paris and moved on with the last half-dozen shows she had scheduled. That wrapped up on Saturday night in Turin, Italy, where Ari posted about her last “Dangerous Woman” show in Europe and showed her team getting silly backstage.

She shared video of designer Alfredo Flores and dancer Scott Nicholson. The group looks like it has kept its sense of humor. Alfredo even got to celebrate his birthday with some love from the Arianators in attendance.

Suspects Arrested After Manchester Bombing At Ariana Grande Concert Set Free

Suspects Arrested After Manchester Bombing At Ariana Grande Concert Set Free featureU.K. police have released 22 suspects detained in connection to the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. The news comes as those arrested after the bombing could no longer be held on suspicion of terrorism without any proof to bring charges.

The head of counterterrorism in Northwest England, Russ Jackson, revealed that the bomber Salman Abedi assembled the bomb himself. And several of the 22 people arrested were able to explain “innocent contact” with Salman leading up to the attack.

However, police still don’t know “whether he acted alone in obtaining the materials for the device” or “whether others knew or were complicit in the storage of materials knowing what was being planned,” according to Russ.

Russ and the Manchester police released a statement on Twitter with their latest updates on the attack.

Ariana Grande tour in limboFollowing the tragedy that occurred at the end of Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert on Monday night, no decision has been made on whether or not to suspend the world tour. Like many celebs, the singer has tweeted her feelings about the event that has left her “broken.”

Billboard reports that “Grande may cancel the rest of the tour,” but a final decision has not been made. Sources tell Billboard that the singer and her team are currently focused solely on the victims and any future performances will be played by ear.
