Dating App Helps Stalkers Date Their Favorite Celebrities…Or At Least Their Lookalikes

Now anyone can date Selena GomezThere is now a dating app that will hook regular people up with a celebrity–lookalike. Badoo has launched its new feature that will sort through its 350 million-user database to find the one person that closely resembles a certain famous person.

According to the site, Badoo has 717 ginger-haired white men that are currently using the site if Ed Sheeran is the type of guy you’re looking for. If your taste in men goes more towards someone that is dark, long-haired and Harry Style-esque, then there are 400 men waiting for you. Falling into the more basic category, there are 1, 356 women who resemble Selena Gomez and 1,424 women who look like Lorde.

Although the users have one or two features like their celeb counterparts, they can’t exactly call themselves true doppelgängers.

Ed Sheeran Explains The Real Reason He Deleted His Twitter Account

Ed Sheeran explains his Twitter deletion-1Clearly bothered by the accusations, Ed Sheeran is trying to explain his reasonings for deleting his Twitter account. The singer didn’t stay gone for long, but according to Ed, getting rid of his account was always the plan and had nothing to do with people hating his “Game of Thrones” cameo.

In an Instagram post, Ed explained that the timing of his deletion was just a coincidence. “Why the hell would I worry what people thought about that,” the singer wrote. “It’s clearly fuckin’ awesome. Timing was just a coincidence, but believe what you want.” Though fans of the show had mixed feelings about Ed popping up in the season premiere, the “Game of Thrones” director had nothing but positive things to say.

“Game Of Thrones” Director Defends Besieged Ed Sheeran: “He’s A Lovely Actor”

Game Of Thrones Director Takes Up The Defense For Besieged Ed Sheeran: He's A Lovely Actor featureEd Sheeran’s cameo on “Game of Thrones” continues to be a topic of conversation. Ed deactivated and reactivated his Twitter account after hate from the show’s fans flooded his mentions. But now a source close to the show is speaking out in his defense.

Jeremy Podeswa, who directed Ed’s episode in addition to a half dozen others, spoke with Newsweek about working with Ed and why he thinks there’s been so much talk about Ed’s brief appearance.

Game Of Thrones Director Takes Up The Defense For Besieged Ed Sheeran: He's A Lovely Actor fan tweet 2“I think Ed did a lovely job—he’s a lovely actor and a lovely person,” Jeremy said on Tuesday. “He was appropriate for the part because he needed to sing. If people didn’t know who Ed was, they wouldn’t have thought about it twice. The hoo-ha seems to be from things that are outside of the world of the show. In the world of the show he did a lovely job, and he looks like he belongs in that world.” So why does Jeremy think there’s been such a big dust up over the cameo?

Ed Sheeran Returns To Twitter, Pretends Like Nothing Ever Happened

Ed Sheeran Returns To Twitter, Pretends Like Nothing Ever Happened featureEd Sheeran has returned to Twitter. The singer deleted his account after his cameo appearance on “Game of Thrones” led to backlash on the site. Fans of the series were outraged by Ed’s one scene in the season seven premiere, and Ed apparently had enough of the toxic tags.

After using a service called “Tweet Delete” designed to erase his posts, Ed’s account was scrubbed clean back to 2013. But some of Ed’s recent tweets are back–even though it’s mostly just his Instagram links. Even Ed’s Twitter bio says it: just go to his Instagram.

Ed already said he was fed up with Twitter earlier in July. Those comments were mostly about Lady Gaga fans, but the “Thrones” fandom was apparently even more hardcore than the Little Monsters.

Hopefully, Ed’s upcoming cameo on “The Simpsons” won’t create the same blowback. Same goes for the “8 Mile”-style biographical movie he wants to make.

Ed Sheeran Is Bringing His Newfound Acting Chops To “The Simpsons”

Ed Sheeran Is Bringing His Newfound Acting Chops To The Simpsons featureEd Sheeran’s acting career seems to be taking off. After his cameo in the “Game Of Thrones” Season 7 premiere, he seems to be getting more and more calls for roles. His next turn on the small screen is for a musical-themed episode of “The Simpsons.” According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer will be portraying a musician named Brendan who becomes the apple of Lisa Simpson’s eye.

“He keeps alternating [between], ‘You’re not that great, but you could be fantastic,’ and she keeps falling for him because of his talent,” Executive Producer Al Jean said in an interview with EW.

Ed shared his excitement about the upcoming role via Instagram, likely because he canceled his own Twitter account, with the caption, “This year continues to be equally surreal and amazing. Watch out for this one, me and Lisa have a whole thing going on x.”

Ed Sheeran Deletes Twitter After “Game Of Thrones” Cameo Sparks A Dragonfire Storm

Ed Sheeran Deletes Twitter After Game Of Thrones Cameo Sparks A Dragonfire Storm featureEd Sheeran has had enough of Twitter. After Ed claimed he’d stopped reading tweets earlier this month, his cameo on the season seven premiere of “Game of Thrones” made him a target for critics across the platform. Despite Ed’s short scene with an actress who’s a fan, fans made a huge deal about the pop star’s brief appearance in the fantasy epic.

Apparently, “Thrones” fans are even worse than Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters. In a move of Arya Stark-like efficiency, he’s systematically deleted every single one of his tweets and shuttered his account.

Ed Sheeran Deletes Twitter After Game Of Thrones Cameo Sparks A Dragonfire Storm critic tweet 2The move presumably comes in reaction to the conversation around his cameo. Even giving Ed a song from the books that hadn’t yet appeared in the show wasn’t enough for fans. Many complained that the appearance of one of the world’s biggest pop acts ruined the escape of the fantasy world. Others simply seem to hate Ed’s face.
