Camila Cabello has a method of weeding out her fake friends and it’s more than just quitting a certain girl group. The singer recently sat down with Elle Magazine to share her experiences with people who were only friends with her out of convenience and how being on billboards is her best revenge.

Kristen Stewart was a presenter at Monday night’s “Women In Hollywood” event hosted by Elle Magazine. The celebratory evening had a dark cloud cast over it as the film industry continues to process producer Harvey Weinstein’s history of sexual misconduct.
Kristen was there to honor Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, for her burgeoning film career. But before she did, she had a message for all of the other women in the room.
Lorde is on the cover of Elle Magazine’s latest edition, and she dazzles in a royal blue Dior jumpsuit. Just days after her Rolling Stone cover story dropped, the New Zealand native is featured on the June issue. A short preview of her cover story for Elle features Lorde talking about why she still loves to head back to the island nation off the coast of Australia.
“Everyone’s making music in L.A. now, which is great if you aren’t the shyest, most introverted nerd,” she explains. “I found it a little too social. I made my first record in New Zealand with very little discourse—I was just my own unit. In L.A., it’s very, ‘Oh, what project are you working on?’ I was like, ‘I need to be out of this.'”
Lorde credited her homeland with helping her balance her star power and the work she’s been doing: “That’s why I am so passionate about going home. Most of my friends are people I knew before I was famous. I’m very thankful that I never feel like the smartest person in the room, or the coolest person in the room, or the funniest.”

Miley Cyrus’ return to music was bound to bring about a few overenthusiastic reactions. One notable entry into the canon of Miley freak-outs is a piece from Elle Magazine that pulls her new single apart line-by-line to explain the references to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth. The careful analysis of “Malibu” is a must-read for anyone that doesn’t know that Genius.com exists.
The in-depth look begins in the first verse, which Elle believes at once sets the tone for the beach-themed love song and calls back to when Miley and Liam actually met. In “The Last Song,” the movie that brought the couple together for the first time, Miley and Liam’s characters meet on a beach. That explains Miley associating beaches with her man.
Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin are continuing to prove that they can fly on their own. While Kendall Jenner is grounded post-Pepsigate and Gigi Hadid is trying again with a Vogue cover highlighting her heritage, Bella and Hailey are keeping things simple as two of the six cover models on Elle Magazine’s May issue.
The two models each shared a bit of insight on their lives in the world of high fashion. Bella discussed some of her inspiration growing up. She gave shoutouts to Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista, saying “I was watching an Alaïa show from the ’90s, and it’s Naomi, Cindy, Linda—the way they were radiating was beautiful. They were so confident. Those are the people I look up to.”
Meanwhile, Hailey reflected on the realities of her life in the industry now. She said, “People think it’s all fun and glamorous, but it’s a lot of work, a lack of sleep, and a lot of being by yourself, away from family. Traveling the world alone when you’re 18or 19 is a lot.”
The duo’s co-cover stars are Jasmine Tookes, Elsa Hosk, Maria Borges and Candice Huffine.
