Demi Lovato almost had an early retirement. In a new interview promoting the premiere of “Smurfs: The Lost Village,” Demi told Entertainment Tonight that, in her darkest moments, she didn’t know if she still going to have a future in the entertainment industry. “I went through a lot of stuff growing up, and I went through some challenges and some obstacles,” Demi said, responding to a question about blowing it in Hollywood. “And I felt like, at a period of time, I probably wasn’t going to work again. But as I overcame those struggles, I found my purpose through it all.”

Gigi Hadid is on the publicity train now that it has been announced that she will co-host the American Music Awards on November 20. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the model talked about her upcoming hosting duties.
“I’m so excited, I can’t believe it,” the model says with such little emotion that if she wasn’t smiling you wouldn’t believe her. Gigi will be hosting alongside former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Jay Pharoah, who will hopefully balance out Gigi’s laid-back personality. “We have to carry an entire show, so there’s no one better than someone with a great sense of humor,” she adds.
The AMAs will also be a special night for Gigi’s boyfriend Zayn Malik who could possibly take home the “Best New Artist” award. “I’m so excited for him. I think that he is so talented. You know, comes from such a genuine place of loving music,” she says.

Meghan Trainor is quickly backpedaling from her Billboard interview in which she revealed her lack of interest to vote not only in the upcoming election, but ever. “I should be way more aware, and if it was [Clinton] or Trump, I’d definitely vote for her, but I’ve never voted and I don’t have any desire to,” the singer said in her Billboard cover story.
The “Me Too” singer spoke with Entertainment Tonight backstage at her “Untouchable Tour” and she revealed her quote was taken out of context—like most problematic quotes are. “I wanted to learn more about both parties cause it’s one of the biggest elections of all times,” Meghan states. And if you had any doubts on what she will be doing come election day, no need to worry. Meghan says she’ll make it to the polls: “I’m ready to vote.”
