With all of the support Demi Lovato has been receiving for her “Simply Complicated” documentary, Nick Jonas is trying to piggyback on the success. The singer recently shared a short film to help promote his single “Find You.”

Imagine a world in which Nick Jonas can make his music more boring with each release. Nick proved that fantasy isn’t far off from reality with an acoustic release of his newest song. While “Find You” has struggled to make an impact, Nick might be hoping a second, stripped-down edition will be just what his fans, the Iconicks, were craving.
Nick Jonas stopped by the confusing new “TRL” reboot for a quick chat and a performance of his new song, “Find You.” The singer refused to name which songs he had written out of love and stuck to the official line about the good times on the “Jumanji” set. Yawn.
After promising his fans the “song of the summer,” Nick Jonas dropped his follow-up single last week to a lukewarm reception. In an effort to keep the momentum going, Nick unveiled the visual for “Find You” on Monday morning.
Much like his real life, Nick finds himself ditched in the middle of nowhere for the music video. The ex Jonas brother wanders around alone in the middle of the dessert for the majority of the offering. Unlike real life, Nick’s main deserters, brother Joe Jonas and bestie Demi Lovato, are nowhere to be found.

As it turns out, getting ditched at Coachella might have been a good thing for Nick Jonas’ career. The singer took part in an interview with Genius to break down the lyrics to his new song “Find You” and he revealed that the music festival played a big role in its creation.
“I was at a point where I was about a year into writing and nothing was connecting and then I went to Coachella,” he explains. “I was hanging out, watching a couple different sets and me and my friends just said ‘Let’s just dance at the rave tent.’ So we go over there, smoke a little bit, and we danced for like five hours straight.”
Afterwards, Nick says he went back to the studio and was inspired to do a “pop song with really deep lyrics.” That pop song eventually became “Find You.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Nick admits that being the perpetual third wheel takes more effort than one might think. He says that everyone comes to him for relationship advice and it’s “ironic” because he is the single one.
“They come to me and I give them this advice and I think to myself, ‘I should be listening to myself,” he adds.

Nick Jonas has been thirsty for a true hit song for a while now. After trying to push several tracks and getting greedy at last year’s GRAMMYs, Nick is leaning into the isolation of his music career in the visual for his latest release.
“Find You” is out now and Nick is roaming the desert just like he teased. The track dropped on Thursday and Nick celebrated by promoting it non-stop. Nick and his team were busy on Twitter and Instagram.
The song sounds like the Jonas Brother is trying to beat Justin Bieber as his own game. The EDM-based backing track builds and drops with Nick’s voice as he sings about looking for someone in the center of the sun.
It’s a follow-up to “Remember I Told You,” but that video was a lot less lonely than the “Find You” promo shots. Partying with one of his brothers and friends might’ve been a better look for Nick, though. After all, nothing says thirsty like a man alone in the desert.
