Taylor Swift has been named the highest-paid woman in music of 2016. The singer takes the top of Forbes’ annual list, knocking Katy Perry out of her $135 million first place spot from last year. Taylor more than doubled her $80 million earnings from last year by raking in $170 million. In July, Taylor Swift was crowned as the highest-paid global celebrity of 2016, which takes away some of the shock value from Forbes’ latest findings.
Adele snagged the second spot on this year’s list with less than half of Taylor’s earnings at $80.5 million. Rihanna pulled in $75 million to take fourth while Beyoncé takes her $54 million to fifth.
Where does Katy rank, you might ask? She falls behind Bey at sixth with $41 million, just about half of Taylor’s second place earnings from last year.
