News of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris and 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Japan reached Justin Bieber Friday night during his album launch party for “Purpose.” He brought his long time friend and mentor, Pastor Judah Smith, on stage with him and led the crowd in a prayer for those effected by these tragedies.
“This entire project is about people finding purpose even in the midst of their pain,” Pastor Judah said before handing the mic to Justin.
Tonight, Justin Bieber was at the HALO Awards to receive the first-ever Hall of Fame Award for his philanthropic work with Make-A-Wish and Pencils for Promise. He again took the opportunity while on stage to ask the audience for a moment of silence for the victims of these events.
While the HALO Awards were taped tonight at Pier 36 in New York City, they won’t air until November 29th.
