Tori Kelly called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” yesterday to promote her latest single, “Hollow.” In the interview, Tori explains the meaning behind the track.
She described how “Hollow,” which was actually written by her close friend, Zac Poor, is “directly connected to our faith and just how a lot of the time we feel really hollow inside.” She went on to explain that, “Jesus, for me, is the only thing that’s ever filled that [space.]”
And for Tori, even admitting that there is a void within her, makes her feel vulnerable. She tells Ryan that “for anyone to admit that they’re weak and that they need love and they need that space to be filled, I think that alone is such a vulnerable thing to admit that.”
