There’s No “Silent Night” In Sight For Demi Lovato’s Planned Hiatus

No Silent Night In Sight For Demi Lovato's Planned HiatusAs Demi Lovato inches closer to the break she announced for 2017, new music seems to contradict her plans. The singer shared a fresh cover of classic Christmas song “Silent Night” from a studio recording while on the “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now.” Since her vocal chords are officially up for a Grammy, a year away from the spotlight probably won’t end up happening.

The video’s description suggests that the performance was done out of special request to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the “Honda Civic Tour.” We’re just waiting to see if Nick Jonas was asked to prepare a holiday cover of his own.

Check out Demi’s version of “Silent Night” below and tell us what you think.

Demi Lovato Is Still Promoting “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” With A Two-Week-Old Video

Demi Lovato Is Still Promoting The Honda Civic Tour: Future NowAlthough Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas didn’t seem too upset about saying goodbye to their joint “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now,” Demi is on promotional autopilot. The “Confident” singer finally tweeted out the fifth installment of “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now Diary” that was released two weeks ago. The video was published to Demi’s Youtube channel in a timely fashion, but she hadn’t promoted its existence until now.

You might recall that the fifth tour diary focused on the studio bus that neither Demi nor Nick seemed to use. Given the timing, Demi’s tweet is rather situationally ironic as she has diminished her social media presence and announced a break from the spotlight in 2017. A break means no music, despite the fact that she’s currently on a mini solo tour.

One Twitter user’s response sums everything up nicely:

Demi Lovato Covers Adele’s “When We Were Young”

Demi Lovato Covers Adele's When We Were Young featureEither Demi Lovato is trying to cement herself as the reigning queen of covers or she is tired of singing her own music. During the Cleveland stop of the “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” on Friday, the singer tried her hand at Adele’s “When We Were Young.”

Recently, Demi covered a cover. The pop star took on Aretha Franklin’s rendition of the Carole King classic, “A Natural Woman.”

Demi Lovato’s Tour Makes Her Feel Like A “Natural Woman”

Demi Lovato's Tour Has Her Feeling Like A Natural WomanDemi Lovato tried to fill some big shoes during Wednesday night’s “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” stop in Vancouver, Canada. The singer added a cover of  Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman” to her set list, citing the track as one of her “all-time favorite songs.”  Demi put her own spin on one of Aretha’s anthems with vocal runs and emotion, but she pretty much stayed true to the original.

Check out Demi’s cover below.

Do you think she pulled it off?
