Fans are upset with Halsey after the singer waited 11 days to address the cancellation of a show. The “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour” was scheduled to be at Montreal’s Bell Centre on Tuesday night, but that plan was scrapped on September 22. Halsey didn’t say anything about the cancellation until the day of the show on Twitter, sparking further outrage from her devotees.
Halsey went out of her way to defuse a situation with the “Dangerous Woman” herself. The singer, who just started her “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom” tour, took to Twitter to address people accusing her of stealing an on-stage look from Ariana Grande.
Halsey kicked off her “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour” in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday night. The singer sold out the 12,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena on her birthday. It seemed like Halsey could hardly wait to take the stage as she tweeted her excitement about opening night. Afterwards, she announced the sell-out on Twitter and promised a rant that never came.
No one is as excited about Halsey’s upcoming “Hopeless Kingdom Fountain Tour” than the singer herself. Sunday evening, Halsey took to Instagram to get emotional about the extensive concert series, which kicks off in Connecticut this Friday, using a shot of her dog to give fans insight into how she is feeling.
“I saw the production in full today and all I can say is holy fuck,” Halsey captioned the post. “I’m about to figuratively punch u in the emotional face. I cried 5 times. I hope you cry even more. It’s going to be an incredible journey and I have really brought the inside of my brain to life.”
Halsey will be joined on the road by Charli XCX, with whom she is sure to get into some serious behind-the-scenes hijinks.

Billed as “fall’s wildest tourmates,” Halsey and Charli XCX are splitting cover duties for the latest issue of Billboard. As the headliner and opener duo prepares for Halsey’s September tour kick off, they apparently got really drunk after performing a “Spice Girls” cover and dished on just how messy they like to get together.
“Part of our brand is ‘hot mess,’” Halsey tells the interviewer. “Being authentic. ‘Yeah, it’s 5 a.m., and I’m wasted and I’m fucking doing that.’ So if I look like shit on a certain day…” Halsey trails off before Charli chimes in: “It’s my brand!” Halsey and Charli seem eager to position themselves as pop’s new turn up queens, but not without reservations.
“I’m scared, because I’ve been sober on every tour I’ve ever done,” Halsey explains. “And I’m not going to be with Charli there.” While Charli thinks that’s a good think, Halsey went on, “I’m neurotic. I had a really bad experience. We did Madison Square Garden and it was a sold-out show, the biggest of my career, and three songs in, everything stopped: tracks, lights, video. Everything failed, because there was one wire unplugged.”
