A new lawsuit has been filed against Beyoncé. According to TMZ, the case alleges that the singer used the Roc-A-Fella Records logo in her 2013 music video for the song “Drunk in Love” without permission. The logo’s designer takes issue with the logo he designed for Jay-Z’s record label appearing on a piece of jewelry Jay-Z is wearing in the visual.
The logo for Roc-A-Fella Records appears for a few short seconds, but that’s enough for its designer, Dwayne Walker, to file a case that the clips be removed and he be awarded financial damages. The case rests on shaky ground given the fact that Jay-Z has already beaten Dwayne in court in a separate case about whether or not Dwayne even has rights to say he created the logo.
