The violent events that took place over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia are still fresh on the nation’s mind and while the president won’t condemn the racist actions, the rest of the opposing world will. Like Halsey and Ashley Tisdale who continued to speak out against the violence on Sunday night and call out those who don’t.
For her part, Halsey posted a photo of the moment when a white supremacist drove his car into a crowd of peaceful protesters. “I realized I felt uncomfortable posting a photo that shows this kind of violence. And then I realized that’s exactly the problem. We are uncomfortable,” she wrote. The singer then began to explain that choosing to ignore the news is no longer an option at this point in American history.
“Freedom of speech is not a license to kill. It is not a get out of jail free card for a Hate Crime.”

President Donald Trump announced a surprise new policy on Twitter Wednesday morning. In a series of three tweets, the president said that transgender individuals will no longer be able to serve “in any capacity” in the U.S. Military. He wrote that the country’s armed forced cannot be “burdened” by the “disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”
The announcement took people by surprise from Twitter to the Pentagon as it threatens the livelihoods of thousands of American enlistees and veterans. People quickly responded with love for the trans community on social media. The hashtag #TransRightsAreHumanRights started trending online and several stars joined in to voice their support.
JinJoo Lee remains a super fan of her old boss JoJo. The duo reunited in Brooklyn, where JoJo was playing a sold out show as part of her “Mad Love Tour.” JoJo welcomed her old guitarist backstage for a couple of pics at the New York concert hall.
JinJoo was apparently overwhelmed by the concert as she tweeted about crying during JoJo’s set. A mix of pride and joy at seeing JoJo “livin her dream” had JinJoo in feelings for the night. JoJo had just as much love for her JinJoo as she welcomed Remy Ma to the stage.
All the lady love came on the heels of one fan asking JoJo about her sexuality. In a tweet on Tuesday morning, JoJo said that she can’t see herself “in a relationship with another woman,” but didn’t rule it out, either.
“Never say never I guess,” JoJo wrote.

JoJo had an emotional breakdown during her recent homecoming show in Boston, Sunday night. It was during her performance of “Music” that the singer began crying on stage in front of her fans and family.
“Last night in Boston was the first time I’ve truly lost it on this tour… singing the lyrics “went on the road to make my daddy proud. but I lost him and so I sang to the crowd,” the singer wrote on Instagram early Monday morning. The singer’s dad died in 2015 after years of battling with drug addiction.
“Thank you for being the best fans in the world. For picking up the lyrics where I left off,” she wrote.

JoJo’s resurgence seems to have lasted. The singer is touring off of her comeback album, “Mad Love,” and it looks like it’s going well. Paparazzi caught JoJo arriving at a sold-out gig in London on Tuesday night. The singer took some time before heading inside to snap a few pics and share a few hugs with fans outside of KOKO in the Camden Town neighborhood.
JoJo was looking cozy in a sporty, all-black look. Down to some well-done fingernails, she was sporting a monochromatic look. The only except was some bright yellow shoe laces that popped almost as well as her bold red lipstick.
London was the second stop on JoJo’s headlining tour. She’ll travel around Europe for the rest of January before coming stateside to kick off a U.S. tour in Portland, Oregon on February 15. She got her tour legs back as an opener for Fifth Harmony last year.
