Nick Jonas must be looking for a lump of coal this year. The singer and “Jumanji” actor was in London recently promoting his new movie. While he was there, he showed off the comedy tips he picked up from Jack Black and Kevin Hart in a bad Christmas joke showdown with YouTuber Caspar Lee.

Nick Jonas is in the full promotional swing for his upcoming film “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” While critics seem to be loving the movie, it didn’t stop Nick and co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart from going the extra mile to show fans some love in an interactive Twitter Q&A. Along with discussing the holidays and working with the cast of the film, Nick revealed what he’d be doing if he wasn’t a successful actor.
From the moment “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” was announced, fans of the original film and critics alike remained skeptical. After Nick Jonas was added to the cast, that skepticism turned into full-on dread. As Nick embarks on the first leg of promo for the film, the reviews are beginning to pour in it. And they are surprisingly positive.
Nick Jonas may currently be in Hawaii gearing up to kick start his promotional run for next month’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” which hits theaters on December 20, but that’s not keeping him from offering up empty promises to his thirsty fans.
Another “Jumanji” trailer has been released ahead of its December premiere and it’s another teaser that barely features Nick Jonas. The singer introduced the new preview with a video via Instagram on Wednesday, but forgot to mention that his “starring” role in the film is more of a guest appearance.
Either way, the singer’s feature in the trailer included more than the five words his character uttered in the first official trailer.

In a recent interview with The National, Nick Jonas decided to address some of the criticism about his upcoming film, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” head on. While fans are excited about the movie, many are afraid of the sequel possibly ruining the beloved original.
“What is great about the new film is the respect for the original,” Nick notes. “We love that film and we wanted to make sure that everyone knows that it is a continuation of that story. I think it will be a fun film for everybody.”
As a fan of the original, Nick added that he approached the modern retelling with reverence.
“I remember when I first got the call that they wanted me to read for it I was blown away, because I was a huge fan of the original films which, off course had Robin Williams who was so amazing in that,” he explains.
The film is set to hit theaters December 20.
