Nick Jonas Went Old School To Sell His Album

Nick Jonas LYWC documentary episode 5The fifth, and hopefully final, episode of Nick Jonas’ documentary was released Wednesday afternoon on Tidal. The previous episodes have all led up to this grand finale moment, which was the singer’s album release.

Nick tried many different promotional techniques and one of them happened to be selling his album from the trunk of his car. Very old school, but it obviously worked because it got the singer the number two album for a week.

Nick Jonas Reveals Promotional Complications Leading Up To His Album Release

Nick Jonas episode 3 of LYWC documentaryThe third episode of Nick Jonas’ documentary series “Last Year Was Complicated” was released Wednesday night. The latest installment of the series features the singer as he travels to Spain, France and the UK to promote his album 18 days before its release.

The third episode also explores the “travel complications” that resulted in Nick missing his interview on BBC Radio 1’s “Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw.” While trying to board a train in the UK, the singer was held by customs due to issues with his work visa. “They stamped the passport. They put an entry date on it, but they didn’t put an exit date. So they were saying his visa was invalid because it hadn’t been filled out properly,” explains PhilyMack Creative Director John Taylor.

As we’ve previously reported, Nick made it safely to the UK to not only perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Festival, but also sit down with the “Breakfast Show” radio host.

Episode three is available exclusively on Tidal, but see clips from the documentary below.
