There have been many “Jingle Balls” this year thrown by various radio stations all around the world. It can be a bit bewildering as some of the talent at each has gotten a little diluted, and for the artists who have appeared at multiple “Balls,” the events seem a little less special in the past and more like work.
But two of the best happened this weekend: Capital FM’s Jingle Ball in London and Z100’s Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. Both gave fans a lot of great performances to warm things up as the temperatures start to drop. And from the back stage interactions, it also seemed like the events were actually fun for the various performers.
Liam Payne was one of the acts this weekend at the Capital FM Jingle Ball in London. Liam performed a full set including “Strip that Down,” “Familiar,” “Bedroom Floor” and “Get Low.” He also came out on stage to perform recent hit “Polaroid” with Jonas Blue and Lennon Stella.

Little Mix performed an entire “comeback” set at the 2019 BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards this weekend. Not only did the foursome sing its new hit “Woman Like Me” before the packed stands at London’s historic Wembley Arena, but it also performed full choreographed renditions of previous hits “Shout Out to My Ex” and “Only You.”
And the group did not go home empty handed. The girls took home the “Best British Group” award for the second year in a row. That award was presented to the group by singers Liam Payne and Zara Larsson.
