Unlike Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello Actually Knows The Words To “Despacito”

Camila Cabello covers Luis Fonsi-1Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” got the respect and the cover it deserved by Camila Cabello. The singer was a guest on Capital FM on Wednesday and she was challenged to sing the Billboard number one.

The singer handled the difficult song much better than Justin Bieber who couldn’t even remember the words. Although Luis has forgiven Justin for messing up the remix, the singer was happy to hear a Spanish speaker sing the song the way it was originally supposed to be sung.

Luis Fonsi Doesn’t Blame Justin Bieber For Screwing Up The “Despacito” Lyrics

Luis Fonsi forgives Justin BieberAfter replacing the remix with the original on Spotify, Luis Fonsi has taken the high road when it comes to Justin Bieber messing up the lyrics to the “Despacito” remix. The singer recently spoke with Rolling Stone about Justin’s embarrassing performance, blaming the song’s tricky lyrics for the flub.

“That chorus is not easy to sing, even for fluent Spanish singers like myself,” Luis said of the lyrics that read: “Despacito/Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito/ Deja que te diga cosas al oído/ Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo.” Justin was the one to reach out to Luis about collaborating on the song. “It’s big for Latin music that a global star like Justin Bieber takes the time to do the song, to do it in Spanish,” Luis explained.

The difficulty of singing a different language mixed with the fact that alcohol may have been involved probably didn’t help Justin remember the Spanish lyrics, but Luis is willing to forgive and forget. “I’ve done songs in other languages, I know how hard it is,” he said.
