Machine Gun Kelly Comes To Camila Cabello’s Defense After She Leaves Fifth Harmony

MGK defends Camila CabelloCamila Cabello has received a mixed amount of support and criticism after leaving Fifth Harmony, but the singer can count on her duet partner Machine Gun Kelly to have her back. The rapper recently sat down for a radio interview when he was asked what he thought about the back and forth between Camila and her former group. “I know Camila. There is no like trickery going on. There’s no behind-the-back stuff,” MGK explained.

The rapper also pointed out that Camila happened to be booted from the group as the two celebrated “Bad Things” earning gold status. “It seems like, the way it played out, it wasn’t great timing…but I know that it was all so genuine,” he added.

Camila Cabello’s Solo Career Soars To New Heights

Camila Cabello Celebrates As Bad Things Breaks Into The Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 featureCamila Cabello’s latest solo project has been a very good thing for the Fifth Harmony singer. Her duet with Machine Gun Kelly, “Bad Things,” has entered the top ten on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Billboard reached out to Camila to see how her new personal best as a solo artist on the charts feels.

“Honestly, it feels like my heart is going to explode from how excited I am,” Camila wrote in an e-mail. “The fact that people are connecting to it makes me so happy. I think everybody can relate to going crazy for someone and, even if it’s just in your mind, somebody bringing out a wild side in you.”

The chart positions makes it look like Camila and MGK’s good girl/bad boy routine is paying off.

The number ten spot for “Bad Things” tops Camila’s last duet as a solo artist, which peaked at 20. She tweeted about the milestone and even seemed to get a little emotional over the support her fans have shown her throughout her career. But Camila’s solo success might not be good news for everyone. Now that she knows she can chart this high on her own, is this another troubling sign for Fifth Harmony’s future?
