Miley Cyrus Goes Undercover To Steal The Spotlight From Honest NYC Subway Buskers

Miley Cyrus Is Stealing Jobs From Honest NYC Subway Buskers featureMiley Cyrus took over on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday evening. After fan videos of Miley and Jimmy singing in a New York subway surfaced, the official version of the undercover underground performance came out with Miley’s episode.

Jimmy looked like he was wearing a Billy Ray Cyrus costume as he and a dark-haired Miley hit the subway station under Rockefeller Center for a performance of “Jolene,” “Party in the U.S.A.” and “We Can’t Stop.” Despite her best efforts to hide behind a wig and some sunglasses, New Yorkers seemed to recognize Miley’s distinctive voice right away–or maybe all of the professional camera men was a giveaway.

On Jimmy’s couch later, Miley explained that it was actually her first time in a New York subway station. She even had a little trouble with the turnstile like a real tourist. But new experiences like that weren’t all that was on Miley’s mind when she sat down with Jimmy. She also discussed breaking some of her old habits. Namely, she talked about quitting weed.

There's A Line-By-Line Guide To The Liam Hemsworth References In Miley Cyrus' Malibu featureMiley Cyrus’ return to music was bound to bring about a few overenthusiastic reactions. One notable entry into the canon of Miley freak-outs is a piece from Elle Magazine that pulls her new single apart line-by-line to explain the references to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth. The careful analysis of “Malibu” is a must-read for anyone that doesn’t know that Genius.com exists.

The in-depth look begins in the first verse, which Elle believes at once sets the tone for the beach-themed love song and calls back to when Miley and Liam actually met. Miley Cyrus: “The Less People Around When I’m Being Creative, The Better”

Miley Cyrus: The Less People Around When I%u2019m Being Creative, The Better featureMiley Cyrus recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to discuss her comeback single, “Malibu.” The singer dished on her improbable return to her wholesome roots from her edgy image, but she also laid out an important rule of her creative process. For Miley, solitude is a blessing.

After explaining how she takes influences from everyone she’s worked with, Miley said, “The less people around when I’m being creative, the better.” Miley wants to be her own “one-stop shop” when it comes to writing and recording new music.

Miley offered up an example of what that looks like as she shared a story about a dream. In her sleep, Miley was riding in a car with little sister Noah Cyrus when a song came on the radio. Miley immediately recognized it, but was shocked to find it didn’t actually exist after she woke up. So, she wrote it herself.

Miley also addressed her newfound move back towards her family’s country music ties. Apparently, Miley is hoping that her new vibes will help her win over some country singer that would otherwise end up on Team Blake Shelton on the next season of “The Voice.”
