Ed Sheeran was too young to appear on an episode of MTV’s “TRL” when it originally aired from 1998-2008. Nine years later, Ed is now a household name and the music video series has been revived with the U.K. singer as one of its first musical guests.

After FOX series “Scream Queens” got canceled, it looked as if Keke Palmer’s screaming days had come to an end, but the Scream Queen is back.
According to Variety, the actress will join the cast of MTV’s series “Scream” for its third season. The TV series is an adaptation of Wes Craven’s hit horror film franchise. Palmer will play the lead character Kym, a social activist whose characteristics resemble that of the horror film’s lead character, Sidney Prescott.
Other cast members of the show include Tyga, Kylie Jenner’s ex, C.J. Wallace, son of late rapper Notorious B.I.G, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula and Giullian Yao Gioiello. The six-episode season is expected to air in March 2018.

Louis Tomlinson recently sat down with MTV for a chat about his new music. Louis briefly discussed his solo single “Back to You” featuring Bebe Rexha, but also shared some details about what to expect from his upcoming debut solo album.
“I kind of been in too many sessions and heard too many songs that describe situations that I just can’t relate to, that just seem to be so Hollywood almost, so almost unrealistic,” Louis said. Apparently, he’s interested in making music that feels more authentic. That might mean returning to his own musical roots, but just where did Louis’ love for music grow from?
Fifth Harmony sat down with MTV to discuss one of the most persistent parts of the post-Camila Cabello departure rumor mill. The four ladies remaining re-affirmed their commitment to the name Fifth Harmony despite playing a woman down.
When asked about a name change, Normani Kordei and Ally Brooke Hernandez answered in unison: “Absolutely not.” “It was obviously a lot,” Lauren Jauregui said. “Regardless, we were all very united on the fact that we didn’t want to change the name.” Then adding, “we felt, within ourselves, like Fifth Harmony is the name we grew with and worked for. It’s our whole entire moment.”
“And the fans named us Fifth Harmony,” Dinah Jane Hansen added. “They named us Fifth Harmony and now they’re the fifth member.”
Sounds like the group isn’t interested in a fifth member other than its devoted Harmonizers.

In an exclusive for MTV, “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint has revealed that Ed Sheeran isn’t an award-winning, chart-topping musical phenom. In reality, Ed is just a figment of Rupert’s imagination.
“After ‘Potter,’ all I wanted to do was stretch myself–make some real magic,” Rupert confesses, clearly emotional about finally coming clean. “So, I created a character. He’d have the voice of an angel and possibly wispy facial hair.” Rupert said he bought a guitar and “a bunch of flannel” before Ed’s career took off and turned into his “greatest acting achievement.” He revealed as well that he hates cats–even Taylor Swift’s.
Rupert was ready to finally give up his act as Ed, but MTV host Josh Horowitz convinced him that the world needs Ed just as much as it needs Rupert. In the final moments, Rupert makes maybe the most difficult decision of his life as he choses whether or not Ed lives on.

Nobody expected DNCE’s “Body Moves” promo with all of the Victoria’s Secret models to be more family friendly than the video the band would drop. But the official, borderline NSFW visual features Joe Jonas and the rest of DNCE getting up close and personal with several hotties, often on what looks like footage from an amateur handheld camera. Despite the sex tape styling, Cole Whittle is asking you to show the “Body Moves” visual to your grandma.
“The only music video you’ve got to share with you grandma and your dog,” Cole says to close off the third installment in a series of raps promoting the video. He shared the rhymes via Twitter on Tuesday. He also tagged MTV and MTV Japan and got a little love from both sides of the Pacific for his trouble.
Check out Cole’s videos and the tweets from both MTVs below.
