Noah Cyrus had a brief chat with MTV. Instead of just trying to set herself apart from big sister Miley Cyrus, Noah shared how she wants to bring herself to her music. “You should do the sound that you want and not what others want,” Noah says, reflecting on what she’d learned from watching the careers of Miley, dad Billy Ray Cyrus and brother Trace Cyrus.

Noah Cyrus made her way back to the stage to perform her single “Make Me (Cry)” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” with duet partner, Labrinth, on Monday. The singer looked more nervous than usual as the duo performed the revamped live performance of their hit song.
Miley Cyrus wasn’t present at her little sister’s first “Ellen” appearance. Given her supportive nature, she was sure to be tuned in.

Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards went down like a bucket of slime on Saturday night. Stars hit the orange carpet, some taking the opportunity to dress down but others wearing looks that would’ve been at home on any red carpet, as well.
Zendaya turned some serious heads in a copper slip dress. The dress is an advanced look that hasn’t come out yet from Zendaya’s clothing line. Given the way it fits, no one can blame Zendaya for wanting to take it for a test spin. It was a notable example of how to wear an orange shade without looking like a traffic cone.
Noah Cyrus went for a more casual vibe in pink heels, a velvet skirt and a simple white tee with the words “Girl Power” on the front. The look had shades of something Miley Cyrus might wear, with a statement piece and some unusual accessories. But it was a little more understated that most of Miley’s looks.
Other stars like Dove Cameron, Miranda Cosgrove and Bea Miller wore flashier casual looks.

Noah Cyrus took the stage last night at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Joined by Labrinth, Noah brought “Make Me (Cry)” to the award show. In matching red outfits, the duo killed their collaboration.
Noah got a lot of love from the rest of Cyrus clan for her big performance. Most of it came from Miley Cyrus, who got to introduce her younger sister’s performance. Miley showed up looking like the president of Noah’s fan club, complete with a sign and a shirt that made it clear how much she loves her.
“This next performer is, without a doubt, the coolest person that I know,” Miley said when she came out to introduce Noah. “Her voice–Oh, my god!–her voice is amazing. Her songwriting is beautiful and totally relatable. She knows exactly what I’m going through.”
Noah had the chance to rub shoulders with some other celebs at the event. She posted pics with Big Sean and Fifth Harmony, making it clear she’s ready to be the new fifth member. Noah’s parents, Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus, came out to see Noah’s big gig, too.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards happened Sunday night, and the red carpet was a chance for stars to show off the outfits that didn’t make the cut for the MTV Video Music Awards. Two standout looks came from Katy Perry and Halsey, who both rocked short blond hair. It was a big chance for Katy to show off her freshly chopped locks and try to put those whispers about 2012 Miley Cyrus vibes to bed.
Halsey’s hair was actually longer than it’s been in a while, but she pulled another bold move on the red carpet. Sporting another monochromatic look, Halsey was wearing yellow pants and a matching jacket. Her top was the same shade, but it was also a belt. The constrictive piece didn’t cover much, but added some lift to the look.
Other notable attendees included Ed Sheeran and a dapper Joe Jonas. Fifth Harmony was there with Normani Kordei looking especially fierce. Noah Cyrus brought her collaborator Labrinth for their performance at the award show. She also brought some boots that would make Lady Gaga jealous.
And even though Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid couldn’t make it, Kelsea Ballerini held things down for Taylor Swift’s squad with a glittery blue body suit.

The nominations for the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards are out and Justin Bieber leads by a hair. The “Sorry” singer is up for six awards and is closely followed by his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and Meghan Trainor, both of whom have five nominations. While the RDMAs aren’t as official as, let’s say, the GRAMMYs, the nominations seem more indicative of fan and radio reception of songs and artists that wouldn’t elsewhere be recognized. The “Best Collaboration” category offers a brightly competitive and inclusive list featuring: Ariana Grande and John Legend, Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez, Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello, Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, Nick Jonas finally has a chance to be recognized for his complicated last year as a “Best Male Artist” nominee. Better than one chance is two and Nick’s “Bacon” is up for “Best Song To Lip Sync To.” He is, however, in direct competition with his brother for that award as DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” is also nominated.
Noah Cyrus even got a couple nods for her debut single, “Make Me (Cry).” The track is nominated for “Best Breakup Song” and it also secured Noah a place at the table for “Best New Artist.”
The 2017 RDMAs will be held April 29 with the ceremony airing one day later at 7 pm ET on the Disney Channel. Voting is now open on the award show’s website.
