Good News Or Bad News? Noah Cyrus Is Joining Katy Perry’s Delayed “Witness: The Tour”

Good News Or Bad News Noah Cyrus Is Joining Katy Perry's Delayed Witness TourKaty Perry offered up some good news and some bad news on Wednesday via Instagram. The singer took to the platform to share two notes for her fans about “Witness: The Tour,” which was set to kick off in Columbus, Ohio on September 7.

That date has been pushed back to September 19 in Montreal, Canada. Katy explained the delay in her note, writing, “Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse until this week.” All dates have been rescheduled.

The delay for Katy to have proper rehearsals came alongside what the singer called “good news.” Katy announced that Carly Rae Jepsen and EDM act Purity Ring will be joining her as openers during her tour. They’ll take turns after a string of shows featuring Katy’s first opener: Noah Cyrus.

Noah’s career continues to trend upward with the announcement that Miley Cyrus’ BFF Katy added her to her big tour. But is it really “good news” for everyone involved? Noah’s biggest live performance to date at the MTV Movie Awards was universally panned.

Check out Katy’s news below.

Noah Cyrus’ Biggest Musical Influence Isn’t Miley Cyrus

Noah Cyrus Biggest Musical Influence Isn't Miley Cyrus featureNoah Cyrus has to talk a lot about what it’s like trying to make her name as the child and sibling of some big names in the music world. Her latest effort to step out of those shadows came in Town & Country Magazine. In the same issue that featured Billie Lourd’s deep interview about her mother and grandmother, Noah has been named a “Modern Swan” by the publication.

A short interview with Noah had her answering questions about her family’s advice for stardom and what she hopes for in her songwriting. She also opened up about who her biggest influence is.

“I think you’ve got to be as honest as possible in order to influence someone,” Noah says. “People look up to me, like my music, and even follow me on Instagram because they know I’m keeping it real with them.” Who’s her idol when it comes to being real? Turns out it’s not big sis Miley Cyrus or dad Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus Is Bringing Her Entire Family To “Carpool Karaoke”

Miley Cyrus Is Bringing Her Entire Clan To Carpool Karaoke featureMiley Cyrus and her whole family have a thing for reality TV. Her mom and sister got the entire Cyrus clan to show up for their interior decorating show, and now the Cyrus family is coming to another show as themselves: “Carpool Karaoke” from Apple Music.

The show’s new trailer shows a carload of Cyruses jamming. Miley and Noah Cyrus dance their way out of the car in one shot. It’s one of several unexpected moments in a teaser full of them.

James Corden is taking a proverbial backseat in the series based on his popular late night segment. Stars will be driving each other around, whether it’s Noah driving Miley or Sophie Turner driving for her “Game of Thrones” co-star and off-screen bestie, Maisie Williams.

Sophie and Maisie, known to fans as Mophie, is one of the more expected pairings for the upcoming series. Sophie’s man, Joe Jonas, is part of a more surprising duo. He takes the wheel with Camila Cabello riding shotgun.

Other combos like Ariana Grande and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and Shaq and John Cena promise to keep things interesting as stars carpool to wherever it is they’re going.

Miley Cyrus Shared A Little More Than Just The iHeartSummer Stage With Noah Cyrus

Miley Cyrus would make a catty stripperMiley Cyrus fans had the chance to ask the singer anything in a quick Q&A. The singer bypassed a few of the questions like her ranking of cereal, but she did proudly reveal what her stripper name would be and some action fans didn’t see when she performed with Noah Cyrus.

“It would be Sheeba Thompson,” Miley said about the stripper name generated from her first pet’s name and the street she grew up on. Luckily, Miley isn’t a stripper and she chose the life of a different kind of performer that sometimes includes taking the stage with her sister. Though the two don’t have any collaborations, they did join forces on the 2017 iHeartSummer Weekend stage. It went from fun times to nasty times real quick.

“Being on stage with Noah was fun. We played with water guns, we kind of sang together, but afterwards she spit on me,” Miley said. “She actually spit in my mouth as I was speaking, so that wasn’t as fun.”

Noah Cyrus Is Anxiously Awaiting The Day She Gets Dragged By The Media Just Like Miley Cyrus

Noah Cyrus Is Nervously Waiting For The Day When She Gets Dragged By The Media Just Like Miley Cyrus the fader featureNoah Cyrus sat down with The Fader for an interview about her fledgling music career. In it, the “Make Me (Cry)” singer expressed that she’s low key dreading the day when her career rockets her into the kind of media speculation and criticism through which her big sister, Miley Cyrus, has lived.

“I’m obviously really sensitive to that stuff,” she says when asked about Miley’s authenticity issues. “That made me sad when people were being awful to her through the media. I hated that — she is who she is, and that’s what I want for her. I get a little nervous for when that time will come. I mean, I’m not going to sit and worry on it, but I know it’ll happen.”

For the most part, it seems like Noah has been following Miley’s advice about avoiding the commentary in the news and on social media, but she did offer up a few insights about what people say about her.
