Halsey performed at the Nobel Peace Prize concert on Sunday night, where she sang “Castle” and “Colors” honoring the Nobel Peace Prize recipients. The singer must’ve been inspired by the ceremony because she took to Instagram to share a photo of the 20:1 jacket she wore representing the ratio of male to female Nobel Prize winners. “An award that this year finds itself belonging to not a single woman,” she stated.
“I am honored to stand on this stage as a voice, and I know the Nobel institution compassionately shares my hope that more women will walk the Nobel stage,” Halsey wrote on Instagram. The singer then pledged to donate a “sizable” amount to organizations that “encourage female education.”
