Yara Shahidi Pens Passionate Essay About Diversity In The Media featureYara Shahidi continues to fire on all cylinders of wokeness. The “Grown-ish” actress has published a lengthy essay arguing for the merits of on-screen diversity and cultural shifts in a special section of Vice. Across hundreds of words and with an accompanying photoshoot by Petra Collins, Yara made the case for bringing more diversity to television.

“When we talk about diversity on screen we’re not just talking about color; we’re talking about gender identity, fluidity, and sexual identity,” Yara writes in the essay’s first lines. “We want to talk about identity in a deeply multifaceted way because our definition of diversity has, and must, continue to expand.”

But another of her regular outbursts about the President’s policies and behavior was interrupted as some new information apparently shifted Lauren’s focus from Donald’s environmental policies to the latest project to come out of Trump Tower in New York: Trump TV.

Former CNN commentator Kayleigh McEnany had people a little dumbfounded when she announced that she would be quitting her job arguing on Donald’s behalf on air and just start delivering his message straight from the source. The announcement of the new “real news” program has been compared to state-run propaganda in authoritarian societies.
