Harry Styles will stand up for what he believes in, as long as it doesn’t touch upon politics. The “Sign of the Times” singer appeared on a recent episode of French talk show “Quotidien” and was very adamant that supporting equal rights for the LGBTQ community is too important to be reduced to a partisan issue.
“I don’t really comment on politics,” Harry said when asked about Brexit. “To me, I think anything that brings people together is better than things that pull people apart.”
The host challenged his response by reminding him of his support of the LGBTQ community and his stance on young female fans during his Rolling Stone interview.
“That’s politics,” he said to Harry.
“That doesn’t feel like politics to me,” the former One Direction singer clarified. “I think stuff like equality feels much more fundamental. I feel like everyone is equal.”
